OUR WORK

Different Businesses Should Look Different

There’s no CKDM house style. That’s the point.

Every business comes with its own story, audience and personality. Our job is to find what makes it recognisably theirs and build from there.

A note on the work: Our portfolio includes client projects alongside selected concept and student work.

We’ll always tell you which is which.

Durex Media Campaign

LIVE CLIENT PROJECT

Durex Student Collaboration Media Campaign

A brand that was never going to call for subtle.

This campaign was created as part of a student collaboration for Durex as the live client, with the final work presented directly to the brand.

The creative direction leaned into what already makes Durex unmistakable - confidence, humour and a willingness to say what other brands probably wouldn’t.

Bold visual ideas, playful copy and provocative concepts were used to create work that felt distinctly Durex rather than simply following category conventions.

CLIENT PROJECT

New Perspective Social Media Content

Insurance without the insurance-speak

New Perspective wanted to make a complicated subject feel easier to understand.

We created social content that broke down insurance topics, answered everyday questions and brought some personality into a category that can get very serious, very quickly.

CLIENT PROJECT

Purely Wild Social Media Content

Wellness, with the wild still in it.

Purely Wild isn't just another supplement brand. Its venison-based products sit alongside a bigger story about natural health, biodiversity and conservation.

The content needed to hold both sides of that story - the product people buy and the natural world behind it.

So the visual direction draws from the bush, the ingredients and the brand's conservation roots rather than default wellness imagery.

CLIENT PROJECT

Baby Layla Brand Identity & Social Media Design

Baby Layla began with something personal.

The business was named after Rose's granddaughter, Layla. That gave us the idea at the heart of the identity: Rose + Layla.

The rose became more than a pretty graphic. It became part of the family's story and a recognisable thread we could carry through the logo, pattern, packaging and collateral.

CONCEPT PROJECT

Hebrews Coffee Social Media & Brand Direction

Brewed for the gathering.

Hebrews Coffee is a coffee shop inside a church, named after the Book of Hebrews. That gave us a much better starting point than simply creating another good-looking coffee feed.

We built the concept around Hebrews 10:25 and the idea of gathering - coffee before and after the service, familiar faces, conversation and community. The biblical connection is there, but it doesn’t overpower the fact that this is still a coffee shop.

The visual direction mixes warm coffee photography, simple typography and subtle references to faith and fellowship, with enough variety in the layouts to keep the feed interesting without losing the brand.

CLIENT PROJECT

West Rand Bikers Church T-shirt Design

'Soul on Fire' made wearable.

West Rand Bikers Church needed a youth-camp T-shirt built around the song Soul on Fire.

Rather than simply putting the words on a shirt, the typography itself became the idea: shaped into a flame, with the cross worked into the composition.

The result was designed for a church youth audience without looking like typical church merch.
